What is Rib type fender?
In 1958, the "Yokohama type inflatable rubber fender" was developed. The subsequent further development and development is the "ribbed pneumatic rubber fender". The development of this Rib type fender is closely related to the advancement of ship technology, and it must continue to meet the needs of large oil tankers such as VLCC and ULCC. Large gas carriers, bulk carriers, floating structures and docks are all inseparable from the use of inflatable fenders. Floating pneumatic fenders are widely used in ship-to-ship (STS) transfers, docks and various ships worldwide. Since its establishment, it has provided millions of fenders for the global shipboard and shipboard (STD) business, serving our important customers. These fenders play a vital protective role in the mooring and safe operation of ships.
Structure:
1. Outer rubber of ribbed fender
The outer rubber layer covering the outside of the fender protects the cord layer and the inner rubber from wear and other external forces. The compound has sufficient tensile strength and tear strength to withstand any weather conditions and arduous use. The standard color is black, but other colors can be provided upon request. Customers generally customize it as gray and white.
2. Inner rubber of ribbed fender
The rubber membrane lining seals the compressed air inside the fender. The rubber our company uses is more elastic, with higher rubber content, longer life, better cohesion and air retention.
3. Synthetic tire cord reinforcement for ribbed fenders
The reinforcement layer is made of synthetic tire cord commonly used in tires, arranged at an ideal angle to maintain internal pressure and evenly distribute force, thereby providing a powerful and effective reinforcement.
4. The flange of the ribbed fender
Henger flanges are corrosion-resistant iron castings with galvanized anti-corrosion coatings, which can greatly extend the quality and service life of the fender. The strength of Hunger's casting flange is 40% higher than that of the traditional type, and it can also be customized according to customer requirements.
5. Metal fittings of ribbed fender
All relevant metal fittings of the pneumatic fender, including shackles, towing rings, swivels, chain nets, are made of stainless steel, which can resist seawater corrosion.
