The characteristics of marine airbag are: the material of airbag body is multi-layer covered compound rubber fabric, which is filled with air when it is used and can provide strong bearing capacity under certain internal air pressure; the airbag is not completely flexible when it is not inflated and has certain shape and hardness, and the burst pressure of airbag can reach 1.11 MPa.
When the airbag is launched, the bearing of the ship from the starting pier to the ship launching process is realized by the array of multiple airbags, and the mass of the launched ship is transferred to a specific position among the airbags, and the number and the bearing position of the airbags are dynamically changed in the process.
Application
The marine airbag launching technology can solve the geographical limitation of ship launching, save the cost of ship platform, have outstanding economic performance, and the airbag can be reused, which is beneficial to environmental protection. This technology has been successfully applied in many shipyards, which has resulted in national standards and international standards in marine airbag launching process. At present, marine airbag launching technology has been successfully applied to 76,000-ton bulk carriers, which has become an important launching method for large vessels; meanwhile, the technology is not limited to bulk carriers, but has been successfully applied to various types of vessels such as offshore platforms, dredgers and triple-use tugboats. In addition, airbags have also been applied in the field of quay assisted caisson launching and in-water assisted caisson towing, which are not only easy to construct but also can save costs.
